Does this make me look fat?

I just got back from the orthodoc. He said everything looks good. You can see for yourself. So frekin' weird. Unfortunately I get about two minutes with the doc. Not nearly enough to get any useful information other than 'the x-rays look good but focus on range of motion and worry about strength next time we meet.'
As you can see from the picture I've got pretty good range of motion.

The surgery scar is nearly gone and the only pain is from the muscles he had to go through to insert the ball. They (mostly the deltoid) are still annoyed but better every day.

The airport scanner is interesting, though.

Date: 2021-12-09 15:09 (UTC)They actually saw off the top part of the humerus bone where it fits, or should fit, into the socket and then hammer in the metal replacement so that it is anchored. The object, I think, is to do that without dislodging all the muscles (deltoid and the four muscles that make up the rotator cuff) that are attached to the bone just below the ball. It is pretty amazing. My job now is to increase my range of motion and then rebuild the muscles that have atrophied a bit while they healed. Then I can get back on the bike.
If you were to look at me today not knowing I'd had surgery mid October you would not be able to tell. I can't fully extend in every direction without some pain (my deltoid telling me to slow down) but pretty close.
