I'm half an hour before time to leave for the Dog Ranch.  It is warm out but chilly in the house.  That time of year.  One of the people at the ranch said that she thought it was going to warm up from here.  It would be a weird winter if those two days last week were its entirety.  And not at all unlikely.  Looking at all the maps it appears that we might easily be done.

Maybe my winter preps were too successful.

My intent is to enjoy the time now as it will be soon hot in the afternoons.  Not sure how that will effect the Ranch and walks at 2 in the afternoon.  I'm not looking forward to triple digits.

Other than that a quiet day.  We started but paused "Murder on the Orient Express" with Kenneth Branagh.  We're watching it in prep for watching "Death on the Nile" tomorrow in the cinema.  My understand is that Branagh develops the Poirot character some and I wanted the continuity.  Two fun days.

This is the third movie we've seen in theater.  Dune, West Side Story and now Nile.  In all three cases there were (or will be) very few people, huge wide and reserved seats, and lots of air movement.  I'm not concerned and actually bought into a monthly deal, for now, to get a ticket a month plus discounts at this theater.  We'll see if there are enough good movies to watch.  I may not keep up the plan but I love the theater and the huge reserved seats.  And the popcorn.

"Nile" may actually get me into a movie a theater for the first time in two years. I enjoyed Murder on the Orient Express a lot, though I still prefer David Suchet as Poirot.

Oh, yes, Suchet IS Poirot. Absolutely.

It is interesting to see Branagh take on the role. I don't agree with all of his choices but the filming is outstanding and the money is in the production so it is fun to watch.

It is weird not being able to pause the movie so I can go to the bathroom. Kind of annoying.

We get so used to the being TV viewers and the flexibility it offers. LOL!
