I'm down to one 18" display.

After disassembling my PC and blowing it out (first time in a couple of years) I brought it back in and put things back together.  Still no primary monitor.  I wrote my computer repair friend and asked if I could swing by with monitor and cable and figure out which is broke.  Sometime this week I suspect.  Fifty/Fifty chance.  Both cable and monitor are six years old so who knows.  I'm not sure what I'll do if the monitor is dead.  Probably look for a used one. Lots of choices.

Ah, the good old days when the fix would be so easy.  I no longer have the contacts I had.

I do enjoy having two monitors and even with my eventual move to a laptop I'll keep a second monitor.  It's a minor addiction but so much easier to do things and keep track of my sister and my front camera.

Well, enough of that.  Time to dress for Pickleball an hour from now.  Move around, whack the ball.

18"!!! It's like going back to the Victorian era! I think having a separate monitor/s is a great idea even with a laptop as the ergonomics are so off otherwise. I like one large monitor and I have one of the last models Dell made that has a 16:10 aspect ratio which gives more depth on the screen - great for documents. My last Dell monitor cost more than my computer but it did last sixteen years and I don't mind the investment when I'm staring at it all day. You can pick new ones up these days for practically nothing, although I definitely see the difference between the ultra-cheap ones and mine. For casual use they're fine though.
