This is the day I clean my AC compressor fins and change the filter.  Every six months.  I forgot to get more filters but I've ordered them now so I 'll change it on Wednesday.  Amazon was $11 per filter cheaper than our Lowes.  Maybe a little less better.  I didn't calculate the veterans discount and the difference in tax but at best Amazon was still maybe $9 per filter less.  The damn 4" filters we use are $25 a piece.  They only have to be changed every six months and there are no other filters in the system so it is actually not bad.  But spending $113 for four of them is an investment.   And, as long as we're on the subject, I just bought the foam for cleaning the fins that I'll need six months from now and next year (I bought two).  They have a place to be stored so I won't forget where they are.

Now my only long term requirement is to get my car inspected which is on the agenda for tomorrow.  It will be fine since I just got new tires.  I was thinking about getting some new wiper blades but really, it is only going to rain here for a couple more months so kind of a waste of money.  Mine are OK.  I'd like to get some high end ones so they wouldn't squeak.  But no guarantee for that.

We're back on meal plans as of tomorrow.  I've got the next two weeks covered anyway.  We eat better and life is just simpler if we get them instead of having to piecemeal the daily dinner.  And we waste much less food.  The meal companies give us just the right amount of food so there are no leftovers and no waste.

A week from this coming Friday, the Ides of March, is Zoe's 14th birthday.  We're paying more attention to them now.  I'm hoping she'll see 15 but she is getting old quickly as dogs do.  I've got Chewy working on sending her some food puzzles so she'll have to work and think a little.  She loves having treats in her Kong but has totally figured out how to drop it so no matter how tightly we stuff them in she'll break them up and bounce them out.  The puzzles are different.  I'm hoping they will be a challenge.  Fortunately they are not expensive and she is not destructive.  Nor is Toby.  Hopefully they won't break any pieces off.  I also ordered her a couple of pig's ears which she will love.  We'll cut them into partial ears.  Dylan, her predecessor in my life was a tan lab who LOVED pigs ears.  We really gave him too many but he was all about them.

Speaking of diets.  I'm wanting to lose maybe 15 more pounds.  I lost about 25 over a year ago and have kept it off.  But my joints would be happier if I lost a few more.  According to the powers that be I should weigh about 175.  My bones are bigger than most people my size and 175 would be starving for me.  I've been down to 174 once and it wasn't a good fit.  So I'm shooting for 190.  As of today that is 17 pounds from where I am now.  If I miss and end up at anything below 200 I'll be happy.

I actually picked up Noom again but the magic has gone.  I've got what they are selling and they are not really geared for 70 year old retirees with no family and no real responsibilities.  So I'm on my own.  I'll set up a calorie app and approach it the same way.  No real magic.  Paying attention is good for 10 pounds.

They've completely updated Lose It! so I've got a good app to use to track.  We'll see how it goes.
