I scheduled a consult with the ortho and I'm 90% committed to more hardware.  The positive effects of the cortisone have mostly if not entirely worn off and I'm back to carefully planning to minimize the number of times I have to get in and out of my car.  Sleep is not great and there are a bunch of steps where I walk Zoe and Toby.  I'm thinking of bringing a cane next walk to see how that works.  All of which is not acceptable.

We're going to Jacksonville Beach on the 4th of April for a weekend of blues and too much sun and sand and people and fried everything.  We're returning on the 8th and unless Dana has something planned after that I think the runway is open for surgery.  Sooner the better far as I'm concerned.

I've got a ride set up to and from the airport in April, something I've never done before.  The husband of our massage person has a bunch of small jobs and is a nice guy and likely cheaper than Uber.  So we'll leave our cars here and catch an Uber/Lyft in Jacksonville so we don't have to rent a car there.  Very different way of doing things.  I'm pretty sure we're just bringing carry on.  What do you really need for three beach days staying in a place that has washer and dryer?  So we'll be travelling very light.

The trip will be interesting.  Blues and booze go along pretty well but Dana quit drinking and recently found out her pancreas is not happy with her, endoscopy to follow.  The primary cause of pancreas issues is alcohol and one of the primary symptoms is the inability to break down fats.  Blues, booze and fried food.  This will be interesting.  I'm guessing that the way things are there will be Zero alcohol choices too.  Sun and beach and music is enough.

Meanwhile, Zoe, Toby and I are hanging around the house.  Dana in Tyler and all is quiet here.

It may be nap time.  This time last year Dana was visiting Tyler and I completely missed the time change.  I've got four analog clocks that have not yet been corrected.  Off to do that.  It used to be such a big deal.  Now I forget it is happening until I read about someone else updating their clocks.
