I'm all packed, all dressed, all the notes for the dog sitter written and amended and printed and amended again.  We still have half an hour before the driver is supposed to pick us up.  TSA says the airport is busy right (depressing graph showing long lines at 6AM - not us) now but PreCheck wait is still five minutes.   Anyone who does not have PreCheck should really take the time.  Even if I were travelling once a year it is so worth it.

Both dogs know something is up.  On the bright side they will be pleasantly surprised in an hour and a half when the sitter arrives to give them some love.  She's coming four times a day for at least half an hour each trip.  She lives very close by (my selection process ensured that) so they won't be alone much.  I've got two Wyze cameras to watch them and a way to contact her if something comes up.  Which it won't.

First time I've travelled without a computer or without access to one on arrival in 25 years.  The world is so phone centric now and I don't have anything much to check so my bag is lighter.  I've still got my android tablet with my book on it and, of course, my phone.

I'm not bringing my fitbit charger with me.  The watch seems to do fine for a long time.  It might be bitching a bit after five days but I can always just shut it down and record steps on my phone.

So my bag is thinner.  I could easily have a smaller one and at the last minute added a shirt because there was room and it will be cold at night.

So now just to find out what I forgot.

One thing is the trip is all paid for but food and a couple of Lyft rides in Jacksonville.  No bulge in the finances.  That should make the next few months a bit calmer.
