Savings vs Crypto

bill_schubertBoring savings is more than a nose ahead today. Dana's monthly SS payment came in and per the plan I moved $500 to our 4.3% Paypal Saving account. That account is our emergency money and the object is to keep it growing. So far so good.
Meanwhile, exciting Crypto is just funny money. Ethereum bought with Prolific dollars, all $200 of them so far. I don't have a clue about the crypto market and so far have lost about $6 since 24 May when I bought in after, of course, the most recent big run up. Looking at a long term smoothed chart it should be OK as long term interest. I'll likely keep adding Prolific money. I'm over halfway to earning my next $200 chunk.
For the moment I'm happy and grateful that we're in good shape and I can afford to not worry so much about the price of eggs and butter. Our needs are still less than our resources. It does allow me to breathe.
