Today's appointments

bill_schubertI met, this morning, with the ortho nurse and the doc who is going to do the work. The nurse did all the heavy lifting. She's a paperwork specialist and we went over everything from how Medicare funds the surgery to whether or not I've got a walker at home (we have two walkers, crutches, 2 canes and 2 walking sticks). Nothing new at all since my last time through. I go there, take a nap, and wake up with good drugs. Then I walk around a bunch and they throw me out.
No physical therapy. She did say that if I feel like I want it at the two week return meeting I can request it and they will give it to me. I might take advantage. The gait of my walk is really screwed up now as my left hip has been offloading my weight to my left knee so that is screwed up. I need to get it all back in sync at once or I'm going to have more problems. So I may need someone who knows what they are doing to help.
Meanwhile the clock is just ticking. I've got a massage tomorrow and might schedule a pedicure for Monday so I don't have to mess with that for a while. Then dogs on Tuesday.
