Quit yr whinin
Jun. 23rd, 2024 08:42I do feel a bit better. Yesterday was, I think, the low. I was under medicated. Opioids slow the far end of the digestion process so I was unsuccessfully trying to balance pain and hydrocodone and that. I ramped up the hydrocodone, still less than my max, and it started to turn the ship.
I feel much better now and will likely keep up the slightly higher level of pain pills, stay ahead of it. Knowing to do that and executing the plan are very different. Fortunately all the metamucil and softeners have started to help. I've been eating yogurt to get back all the bugs I killed with surgery antibiotics.
I'm hopeful that what I'm seeing is a solid upswing in getting things back in balance.
I can walk around just fine and use the walker more as safety than support. I've got my follow up appointment on the 5th of July. I intend to ask for PT, get someone to help me figure out where to strengthen and be sure I'm walking correctly.
Other than that, life is pretty quiet. I've had some serious naps and will likely rinse and repeat.
