Dana had three, maybe four, TIA's yesterday.  In the past 20 or so years I've grown used to what we call her 'spells' where she gets disoriented and loses track of things for a bit and I typically just put her to bed and she sleeps for half an hour or so then is OK.  They kind of came in waves.  Sometimes nothing for months and then a couple within a week or two.  I've spent a lot of time trying without success to find some kind of correlation much less causation.  We reported them to docs and they looked for sugar, other foods, sleep issues, air issues.  Found nothing.  Shoulder shrugs all around.   I think these were all some kind of TIAs.

Yesterday was much more dramatic.  I've got video.  She was on two occasions completely out of it, unable to communicate, not really understanding what communication was, where she was, who I was, etc.  The only stroke box or TIA box she did not check was droopy face.  These were transient.  She's fine.  Was fine at the hospital albeit a bit confused still.  Hours later she still could not come up with what month it is.  But hell, I had a really hard time remembering how old she is when they asked me so I'm not sure there's a correlated issue there other than age and being in an unfamiliar environment.

They kept her overnight after doing an MRI (and maybe a CT) and finding nothing.  Of course.  I'm going to get her shortly having just walked the dogs and gotten some fuel for myself.

Going down the list of things to do for this I find we're doing all of them but exercise.  She does not exercise enough, does not get the blood pumping on a regular basis.  Even when I had my hip problem before (and after) surgery I walked all I could.  I would go to the store where I could hold onto a cart and shop.  Anything to keep moving.  She does not do that and I'm suspecting that the lack of blood flow is much of the cause.  Might have been the causation, or contribution, all along.

All the rest we do.  No drinking, no smoking, less process foods, less weight.  All the usuals.  I suspect they will at least put her on baby aspirin but I bet the bank not one doctor will say, 'hey, you really need to walk a mile or more every day' or something similar.  Docs just don't do that.  Here's a pill, here's a consult, here we've scheduled a test.  Yup.  Do the one thing that costs almost nothing and yields benefits.  Nope.  Only Dr Internet tells the truth about that.

Thank heavens for pickleball (and before that, my bicycle).

Missed my PB game today.  Sad music.  Maybe I get her home and see if I can pick up a game this afternoon.
