Turkey's in the oven
Nov. 27th, 2025 11:32We've got our two friends coming over in an hour and a half or so. Everything is on schedule far as I can tell. I did just remember I was going to cook some peas so I need to do that. Maybe. Dana made some squash something or other and we've got sweet potatoes so maybe not. I don't much care. Downside to Semaglutide is I could skip the whole thing and not mind be hungry.
Toby is still feeling sick so we'll be spending more money tomorrow for some new antibiotics, probably another $200 x-ray, and a couple of hundred bucks in blood work. Fortunately Beaux is feeling better and is just coughing every now and then.
The more I think about the cardiologist who said Dana's been having TIAs for years the less creedance I'm giving it. He did not write up post visit notes so I wrote him a message today requesting them and made an appointment with our primary care for a video call to discuss. He's wanting to put Dana on Clopidogrel which is a platelet reducer. It would reduce the likelihood of a brain blood clot if that is likely to happen but two neurologists at the hospital said there was nothing indicating a TIA or any kind of clot so I'm thinking the cardiologist needs to stay in his lane. I really don't want her on more drugs especially blood altering drugs.
I did get an interesting finding in Gemini when I asked about getting a second opinion on TIA issues. There is a Comprehensive Stroke Center in Dallas with a dedicated TIA program. If there are any more questions about this I might see if that is a possibility. I was reading their web site and they specifically say that TIAs can't really be diagnosed after the fact since they are... transient. So this whole thing is another adventure in medicine.
I'm fine, BTW.
